Myanmar is a land of thriller and majesty. On our journey, we received a glimpse of lots of the settings and narratives that make up its story—temples rising from a shroud of morning haze, glistening gilded shrines within the setting solar, indigenous households preserving their tradition, placid lakes with native fishermen.
Balloons float over Bagan because the solar rises and divulges golden temples
Atop Mandalay Hill, wanting down at a gilded shrine within the final mild of day
Younger lad wanting pensive in an Akha hilltribe village
Leg-rowing Intha fisherman with a fish entice
The spires of Bagan temples fill the horizon on this view from the highest of a towering pagoda
It’s a shocking place.
